Sprite Catch for iPhone and Android

Deleting your Sprite Catch account removes it and everything in it, permanently, from my servers. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay for — this page exists so you can do it whether or not you still have the app installed.

The fastest way, if you still have the app. Open Sprite Catch and tap Delete account — it is at the bottom of Settings › General, and also on the Edit Profile screen. It asks once to confirm, then does it immediately — the account is gone from the server and everything cached on the device is wiped. You do not need to email anybody.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email privacy@spritecatch.com and ask me to delete your account. I need one thing to find it:

your username (for example @ghost_hunter) or your Account ID — the eight-character code in Settings → Account (for example 7K2QW4M9). Either one finds you.

If you signed in with Apple, emailing from the address linked to your Apple ID also works. If you have neither — an anonymous account on a phone you no longer have — say so and tell me anything you remember about it (a display name, roughly when you started, which sprites you had); I will do what I can, but an anonymous account with neither may not be identifiable, and I would rather say that plainly than promise otherwise.

I will confirm when it is done. I answer everything myself, usually within a couple of days, and always inside 30 days.

Android: keep your Account ID somewhere. Sprite Catch has no email address and no password. On iPhone your sign-in survives deleting the app, but on Android it does not — the app's private storage goes when the app does — so after an uninstall your Account ID is the surest thing that identifies the account you left behind. It is in Settings → Account, with a Copy button next to it. Your username works too and is easier to remember, but it can be changed, and the Account ID never is.

What gets deleted

Your collection — every sprite you marked owned, mastered or as needing a rebuy, on the server and on the device.
Your profile — display name, username, Account ID, avatar sprite, Fortnite tag, and the public web page at spritecatch.com/u/<your username>, which stops resolving. The username is released and somebody else may take it later.
Your account identifiers — the random device ID, and your Sign in with Apple identifier if you used it.
Everything you posted or sent (iPhone app) — posts and reactions, trade listings and notes, direct messages and any photos attached to them, the ratings and reviews you left about other collectors and the ones left about you, your follows, and your support conversations.

Server logs held by Cloudflare (IP address, timestamp, user agent) are kept briefly for security under Cloudflare's own retention schedule and are not linked to your account; see the Privacy Policy.

What happens afterwards

Other collectors stop seeing you immediately. The moment you confirm, you are signed out and you disappear from Discover, from trade matching, from the "who has this" lists, from everyone's followers and following lists and from their conversation lists, and the reviews you wrote come off the profiles they were on.

The data itself is erased within 30 days. The gap is a review step: deletions are checked by hand, so that an account being abandoned to escape a scam warning is not automatically handed a clean start, and so a deletion made by mistake can still be undone. There is no archived copy afterwards and no way to recover anything once the 30 days are up.

Changed your mind? Sign back in during those 30 days — with the same Apple ID, or on the same device for a guest account — and the account comes back exactly as you left it. The app tells you that is what happened. After that it is gone, and opening the app creates a brand-new, empty account with a new username and a new Account ID.

One exception to "nothing is kept": if an account is erased while it is carrying a scam warning or a suspension, I keep a scrambled one-way fingerprint of the sign-in it used, for a year, so the same person cannot shed the warning by deleting and signing up again. It cannot be turned back into your sign-in and it is not kept for any account that leaves without one. See section 9 of the Privacy Policy.

You can ask for that instead, or first. Email privacy@spritecatch.com with your username or Account ID and I will send you everything stored about you in a portable format, within 30 days, at no charge. Si ya desinstalaste la app, escribe a privacy@spritecatch.com con tu código de amigo (los ocho caracteres que aparecen en la pantalla de Perfil) y borraré la cuenta y todo lo que contiene dentro de los 30 días.
